The Devonport Volunteer Fire Brigade (DVFB) is a dedicated team of local residents who provide fire and emergency services to the Devonport community. We are a part of Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ), the national organization that provides fire and emergency services across the country.
The call sign of the appliance manned by the Devonport Volunteers is Devonport 812. "81" signifies the Devonport turnout area and the "2" indicates that it is the second appliance in that area (Devonport 811 is manned by paid career firefighters).

Behind the scene of the serious work we do when called to an incident, there is a lot hard physical training, theory lessons and qualification courses.
