The Devonport Volunteer Fire Brigade is proud to be an active participant in our vibrant community. We believe in fostering strong connections with our residents and supporting local events that bring people together. You'll often see us out and about at these popular gatherings:
Every year, we join the community in commemorating Anzac Day. We march in the parade to honor the sacrifices of those who have served our country and to remember the spirit of Anzac. It's a solemn occasion where we reflect on the importance of courage, camaraderie, and community.
The Devonport Santa Parade is a highlight of the year, spreading festive cheer throughout the village. We love getting involved in the parade, bringing Santa to the children of Devonport on one of our fire engines. It's a fantastic opportunity to connect with families in a fun and festive atmosphere.
Throughout the year, we participate in various other community events, including:
Remembrance Day: We join the community in paying our respects to those who have lost their lives in conflict.
Local School Events: We often visit local schools to teach fire safety and provide demonstrations and allow kids to sit on the truck and play with hoses.
Swim Around North Head Classic: We provide safety support for this popular open water swimming event.
And many more! Keep an eye on local newspapers and social media for updates on where you can find us next.
